Applications will be accepted until May 8 for the New England Statistical Society’s NextGen scholarships for underrepresented groups in statistics and data science. To be eligible, a person must be the following:
- A graduating high school senior or first- or second-year undergraduate student
- Of American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black/African American, Hispanic, or Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander heritage
- Enrolled in a US college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year
They also must show a genuine interest in statistics and data science through coursework, extracurricular activities, and/or future goals.
The scholarships are for $1,000.
