The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Student Paper Prize is awarded annually to the student author(s) of the most outstanding paper(s) accepted by SIAM journals within the three years preceding the nomination deadline. The focus of the prize is to recognize outstanding scholarship by students.
The nominator, typically the student’s adviser or a senior coauthor, must submit the following:
- Nominator’s letter certifying the candidate and paper meet the eligibility criteria, attesting that all co-authors (if any) have agreed to the nomination, and describing the paper’s research contribution and candidate’s role in the scholarship
- Candidate’s CV (two or fewer pages)
- PDF of the paper
The nomination deadline is February 15.
