Sponsored by the American Statistical Association Statistical Computing, Statistical Graphics, and Government Statistics sections, the annual Data Challenge Expo will be held in conjunction with the Joint Statistical Meetings in Toronto, Canada, August 5–10, 2023.
The Data Challenge Expo is open to all students and professionals. Using statistical and visualization tools and methods, contestants will analyze the given data set(s).
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Professional (one level with a $500 award)
- Student (three levels with awards at $1,500, $1,000, and $500)
To enter, contestants must do the following by February 1:
- Submit an abstract for a Joint Statistical Meetings contributed speed poster session by February 1 and specify the Statistical Computing Section as the primary sponsor.
- Forward the JSM abstract submission email to Linglong Kong and Wendy Martinez.
