Science magazine is hosting a data-visualization video contest. Submissions will be accepted March 7 to April 15, and the winners will be announced the first week in May.
Narrate, animate, or act out your data points to tell a bigger story. Upload your visualization to YouTube, complete the entry form, and wait for the judging to begin. Make sure your data sets are hosted on a free, publicly accessible site.
Five data visualization experts will judge each piece on creativity, complexity, and clarity and choose winners in each of the three categories: student, professional, and institution. There also will be a people’s choice contest, with the winner chosen by popular vote.
Details, including the contest rules and technical specifications, are available on the Science website.
