CSP to Feature Career Placement Service, Mentoring Program

The Conference on Statistical Practice (CSP), to take place February 19-21, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana, will once again feature the Career Placement Service and a mentoring program.

The conference—now in its fourth year—offers practitioners a place to learn new statistical methodologies and best practices in statistical analysis, design, consulting, and programming. CSP, through the Career Placement Service and mentoring program, also provides attendees the opportunity to further their career development and strengthen relationships within the statistical community.

The CSP Career Placement Service will connect employers and applicants, so they can pursue informal meetings and interviews. Applicants who attend can research current job openings and contact employers via an online system prior to the conference.

CSP is also an ideal setting for a mentoring program. After registering, participants will be given the opportunity to express interest in being either a mentor or mentee by way of submitting basic information through an online form. The mentoring program leadership will match mentors and mentees based on the information provided. There is no cost to participate in this program.
