Many ASA sections sponsor student paper competitions to help gifted students with the costs of attending JSM, which also offers an opportunity for students to present their work.

This competition is for undergraduate students who conduct class projects as part of an introductory or intermediate statistics or data science course. Submit by June 21.

The Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research invites eligible students to enter the association’s MAPOR Fellows Student Paper Competition, which carries a prize of $500.

Nonparametric Statistics Section Seeks Student Papers for Awards
The prizes will go to the top three student papers presented during a session sponsored by the section at JSM 2021. Winners will receive a certificate, $500 prize, and one-year section membership.
