STUDENTS: Apply for the Jean Gibbons Teaching Fellowship

Follow in the footsteps of statistician Jean Dickinson Gibbons and earn your PhD at Virginia Tech with the help of a fellowship that offers full tuition equivalent, a $34,000 stipend per nine-month academic year, and the opportunity to live and work in a community of faculty and graduate students whose work and research spans disciplinary boundaries.

A pioneer for women in statistics, Gibbons was the second female to earn a PhD in statistics from Virginia Tech. Through support of this fellowship, her goal is to attract the strongest students in the country to her alma mater.

The deadline to submit applications is January 15, 2017.
