Applications are being accepted for the Goldwater scholarship, a merit award available only to undergraduate students majoring in mathematics, science, or engineering. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 for the remaining year(s) of undergraduate study.
To be eligible, nominees must fulfill the following qualifications:
- Be a sophomore or junior at the time of application
- Be a US citizen or national/resident alien
- Have a highly competitive grade point average
- Obtain institutional nomination (find your school’s representative)
- Submit the preliminary application by October 31
