2025 Sports Data Challenge Submission Open

The 2025 Connecticut Sports Analytics Symposium Data Challenge will focus on analyzing data on bat speed and swing length to explore pitcher/batter interactions in Major League Baseball. This challenge presents an opportunity for students to explore the intricacies of pitcher-batter dynamics using cutting-edge data sets.

Finalists will present their findings at the Connecticut Sports Analytics Symposium, taking place April 11–12, 2025, at Yale University. Winning teams will showcase their work to leading data scientists in the baseball industry, offering a valuable platform for recognition and potential future collaborations.

The competition is open exclusively to students. Registration is open until December 1 and submissions are due January 15, 2025, with finalists being notified by February 15, 2025.
