The Astrostatistics Interest Group of the American Statistical Association is sponsoring a student paper competition, with the submitted papers being related to the development and/or application of statistical methods to problems in astronomy, astrophysics, or cosmology.
To be eligible for this award, candidates must have been a full-time student on December 1, 2025, and be the principal contributor to the research paper.
The application deadline is December 1 at 11:59 pm PST.
The winner and (up to) four finalists will present their papers in the ASA Astrostatistics Interest Group topic-contributed session at the 2027 Joint Statistical Meetings in Chicago, Illinois. Each finalist will receive $100, while the overall winner will receive an additional $400.
