The AAAS Early Career Award for Public Engagement with Science recognizes early-career scientists and engineers who demonstrate excellence in contributing to public engagement with science. The honoree receives a $5,000 prize, a commemorative plaque, and recognition at the AAAS Annual Meeting.
For this award, public engagement is defined as an individual’s active participation in efforts to engage the public on science- and technology-related issues and to promote meaningful dialogue between science and society.
The deadline to apply is June 30.
