The National Institute of Justice’s Graduate Research Fellowship program supports doctoral research with relevance to criminal or juvenile justice in the United States. This includes economics, computer science, mathematics, technology for law enforcement, and more. Applications from all fields of study are welcome, with few exceptions.
The fellowship provides up to three years of support within a five-year period and includes the following:
- $41,000/year student salary
- $16,000/year cost-of-education allowance
- $3,000/year research expenses
The department anticipates funding about eight new fellows this year.
The Grants.gov deadline is May 19, and the JustGrants deadline is May 27.
