The Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies annually honors statisticians who have made outstanding contributions to the profession. The COPSS Emerging Leader Award recognizes early-career statistical scientists for excellence in areas such as education, research, mentoring, ethical practice, and service to the profession and society.
The following early-career statisticians were recently awarded the Emerging Leader Award for demonstrating strong leadership and the potential to shape and strengthen the discipline:

- Fan Li, Yale University
- Alex Luedtke, Harvard University
- Xu Shi, University of Michigan
- Briana Stephenson, Harvard University
- Linda Valeri, Columbia University
- Dootika Vats, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
