COPSS Awards Emerging Leader Award to Eight

The Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies annually honors statisticians who have made outstanding contributions to the profession. The COPSS Emerging Leader Award recognizes early-career statistical scientists for excellence in areas such as education, research, mentoring, ethical practice, and service to the profession and society.

The following early-career statisticians were recently awarded the Emerging Leader Award for demonstrating strong leadership and the potential to shape and strengthen the discipline:

  • Fan Li, Yale University
  • Alex Luedtke, Harvard University
