Application Open for Stanford CARE Scholars Program

Stanford University is accepting applications for its CARE Scholars Program, a yearlong virtual experience designed to train students in Asian health research. The program equips participants with foundational skills in data science, population health, and collaborative research while providing the opportunity to work closely with Stanford faculty on real-world research projects.

The CARE Scholars Program brings together students from all backgrounds—no prior research experience required—to investigate health disparities, explore challenges in vulnerable communities, and develop evidence-based solutions. Scholars learn to analyze data sets, communicate research findings, and collaborate with experts across sectors, including clinicians, technologists, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders.

The program begins with spring seminars introducing essential research concepts and data analysis techniques. Scholars then transition into a nine-week, full-time summer experience, during which they work in teams on research projects. Many of these projects are designed for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

Work continues throughout the fall and winter as scholars refine manuscripts, participate in professional development activities, and present their findings. The year concludes with a winter research symposium.

Applications are due January 11.

    Greetings,

I am interested, but I do not have funding.
I am an international student on F1 visa, but my dream is to add value, participate and learn new things, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Biochemistry, and a Masters in Biostatistics. Currently studying MSc in Epidemiology. I am free to share any other required further information like my cv.

    regards
