Scholarship Offers $1,000 for Government Statisticians
Awarded jointly by the ASA’s Government Statistics and Social Statistics sections, this scholarship encourages promising young statisticians to consider a career in government statistics by providing up to $1,000 for use in exploring any of a broad number of opportunities.

Applications Sought for ASA Student Paper Competition
The Social Statistics Section, Government Statistics Section, and Survey Research Methods Section announce a competition for student and post-graduate papers. A subsidy of up to $1,000 is provided to each winner to cover JSM 2021 expenses, and five awards will be granted.
