SRMS/GSS/SSS Consortium Student Paper Competition Winners Announced
Five winners and two honorable mentions from 48 submissions will receive $1,000 and present at JSM 2025 in Nashville.

Entries will be judged by a panel made up of Royal Statistical Society officers and committee members, the Significance editor, and editorial board members. Entries are due by May 30.

Applications Wanted for Ellis R. Ott Scholarship
The ASQ Statistics Division offers $7,500 scholarships for graduate students at US or Canadian institutions. Students should apply by June 15 to support their studies in applied statistics.

Nominations Wanted for Frank and Brennie Morgan Prize
Nominate a student for the Frank and Brennie Morgan Prize for Outstanding Research in Mathematics by May 31. The annual prize gives $1,200 to an undergraduate in Canada, Mexico, the US, or its territories for outstanding mathematics research.

Apply for the SIAM Student Paper Prize for outstanding papers in SIAM journals by February 15.

Two Honored with Ellis R. Ott Scholarship
The Ellis R. Ott Scholarship Governing Committee awards two $7,500 scholarships to promising master’s and PhD candidates pursuing degrees in statistics and related disciplines. This year, the honorees are Valeria Ovalle Ocampo and Luke Hagar.

This competition is for undergraduate students who conduct class projects as part of an introductory or intermediate statistics or data science course. Submit by June 21.
