COMAP’S Mathematical Contest in Modeling / Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling is an international contest designed to provide undergraduate students the opportunity to work as team members and engage in and improve their modeling, problem-solving, and writing skills. Teams apply mathematics to model and develop and communicate a solution to a real-world problem.

Registration Open for Modeling Contest
The International COMAP Scholarship Award will be given to the top four teams. The award consists of $9,000 split among the team members and $1,000 to the school represented.

Modeling Contest Adds Problem, Addresses Energy Use
The Consortium for Mathematics and its Applications’ annual Mathematical Contest in Modeling added a data insights problem, Problem C. Teams will be presented with a modeling problem and data set. The contest is open to both high-school students and college undergraduates.
