The European Mathematical Society (EMS) Gordin Prize will be awarded to a junior mathematician from an Eastern European country working in probability or dynamical systems and presented at the 12th International Vilnius Conference on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics and 2018 IMS Annual Meeting on Probability and Statistics, which will be held July 2-6, 2018, in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The award, established to honor the memory of Mikhail Gordin, consists of a cash prize of $4,000 and travel funds up to $1000, allowing the laureate—chosen by a committee appointed by the EMS—to attend the conference.
Nominations should be sent to the EMS office, no later than April 30.
