The Analytics Section of INFORMS and SAS are sponsoring a scholarship program for the INFORMS Conference on Business Analytics and Operations Research in Orlando, Florida, April 10–12. The scholarship will cover the following:
- Round-trip flight to the conference and round-trip ground transportation from the Orlando airport
- Hotel (3–4 nights, depending on the home location)
- Most meals (which are included in the conference registration)
- Registration for the conference and professional colloquium
- Consultation on how the real case study was addressed in practice
- Publicity for the winning submission
Applicants are invited to prove their analytical prowess by creating a statement of work that outlines how they would approach a business problem if hired to address it as an outside consultant. The problem is based on a case study from a real-life project.
