Project-Based Introductory Statistics Curriculum Workshop

The Quantitative Analysis Center at Wesleyan University—in Middletown, Connecticut—is hosting a project-based introductory statistics curriculum workshop from June 14–15. The workshop is ideal for new faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and advanced graduate students interested in teaching introductory statistics at the college level.

There is no registration fee. A per diem for meals, overnight accommodations, and workshop materials for those chosen to attend will be covered by Wesleyan University with support from the National Science Foundation.

All application materials must be submitted by email to Lisa Dierker, professor and chair of the Quantitative Analysis Center, at ldierker@wesleyan.edu by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on April 15.

A complete application should include the following:

  1. Name, affiliation, contact information, position
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Brief personal statement (one page or less) about how the workshop fits into current or planned teaching and a summary of any prior experience related to statistics education
